Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-05-11

Cookies

epochkit sets cookies through Google Analytics 4 (see "Analytics" below): _ga and _ga_*, used to distinguish anonymous visitors and persist a session identifier. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking cookies, and no third-party cookies beyond Google Analytics are set on the site as it currently runs.

This may change. See "Future changes" below.

Analytics

On the production site, epochkit uses Google Analytics 4 to measure aggregate usage. Through GA4, the site:

  • Sets first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) used to distinguish anonymous visitors
  • Records page views, referrers, device and browser type, and approximate location derived from your IP address
  • Sends this data to Google for processing under Google's Privacy Policy
  • Does not collect names, email addresses, or anything you type into the tools on this site

If you run epochkit locally or in a development environment, analytics are disabled entirely.

Your preferences

epochkit saves two preferences in your browser — your color theme choice and your selected timezone on the Timezone Converter — so they persist across visits. These values never leave your device and can be cleared at any time by clearing your browser's site data for epochkit.dev.

No personal data collected

Timestamps and datetime values you enter are processed entirely in your browser. Nothing you type is sent to any server. epochkit has no backend, no database, and no user accounts.

Third-party sharing

epochkit shares anonymous usage data with Google through Google Analytics 4, as described above. No other third-party sharing occurs. epochkit does not sell or rent user data.

Future changes

epochkit is currently maintained as a free indie project without advertising or paid features. We may introduce advertising, premium features, or a cookie consent banner in the future. If we do, we'll update this policy first, disclose any new third-party cookies or data sharing, and provide consent options where required by law (GDPR, CCPA, and similar).
